For nearly thirty five years, Master Photographer, Film Director and Executive Creative Director, Shawn Frederick has been working professionally specializing in Brand Identity, Commercial Advertising and Cinema Pictures.  He is an alumnus (‘91) of the famed, Brooks Institute of Photography and University of California at Los Angeles (‘22), where much of his creative work has been awarded the highest accommodations in his industry. Including the Belding Awards’ Best of Show, numerous American Advertising Federation’s Gold & Silver Statues, Gold Awards at Film Festivals around the world as well as being issued numerous Citations of Excellence for his conceptual and creative work. Shawn has also created imagery for some of the most well known American commercial advertising brands and their agency partners and continues to be called upon for thought-provoking high-profile assignments to this day.

Based on his acute understanding of the 8th Art and a burning passion for exploration and wonder, not to mention his high-octane sensibilities, Shawn continues to push the technical and artistic boundaries of his craft.  While he is highly adept in film photography, he was also an early adopter of the high-end digital platform as well. Something he obviously works deeply with daily.

Travels of Shawn's have taken him around the globe numerous times to locations that include Morocco, Austria, France, Czech Republic, Germany, Croatia, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Hawaii, Alaska, Baja, Mexico, Canada and 40+ states and territories throughout the USA.

Magazines, Calendars, Lithographs and Book publishers have included hundreds of features in some of the most respected titles in the print publishing world globally of his work as well. Some include Conde Nast titles, the National Geographic, Smithsonian Institution, GQ, Cosmopolitan, Transworld Media, DK Publishing, Penguin Books, Simon & Schuster, Tor Books, St Martins Press, Harper Collins, Kensington Press, Workman Press amongst quite a few others.
